2009 A TURNING POINT:
THE THREE-YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN

THE ACLC NOW HAS ALL ITS DUCKS IN LINE ...

The new 2009 Strategic Plan presents four League Objectives for the next three years in which all levels (national, provincial/territorial and local ) can coordinate their work towards fulfilling our leadership role in the Canadian Army Cadet Movement. These four objectives are:

  1. To grow the Army Cadet Movement;
  2. To attract new Cadet Instructors, Volunteers and League members;
  3. To increase fund and friend raising activity;
  4. To represent the interests of all non-military members of the ACM.

As we implement this Strategic Plan across Canada at every level the term, RCAC will come to represent not only the Royal Canadian Army Cadets, but something that reminds us of our strategic objectives:

RECRUIT CADETS
CASH SOURCES
ADVOCATE FOR VOLUNTEERS
CULTIVATE ADULT LEADERS

If we are to succeed in addressing the challenges that will face us in the coming years, we will all need to get our ducks in line, to cooperate and to act in unison all across Canada. To arrive at that point, the ACLC has produced an online Tool Box as a resource for our local Sponsoring/ Support Committees and will be revising our Policies to all come into line with the Strategic Plan. The national Head Office of the ACLC encourages you to adopt these four objectives as your own. As a result, you as a member, your cadet corps and your provincial/territorial Branch will be an effective part of a unified and relevant force to support the youth of Canada.

Please go to www.armycadetleague.ca to download these Strategic resources which includes a PowerPoint Presentation, flyers and other products to promote the plan in your region.

As well, all the materials are available on disk , free of charge, by contacting the national Head Office of the ACLC at 1-877-276-9223 or national@armycadetleague.ca.
